We now live in a World where Green is the new colour! We are constantly being asked to consider renewing and recycling and why not use this Ethos when looking at your personal Jewellery collection. When did I last wear that piece, how long have those inherited items been in the drawer, too sentimental to discard?

From the moment I walked into Biagio’s with a very old, inherited gold and sapphire ring from my late father, to the moment I left with a new, refreshed and modernised platinum ring setting; the experience was fantastic. Anna spent time capturing my thoughts around how I wanted the ring to look and feel. These ideas were brought to life through fantastic CAD images which helped to picture how it would look. When it was unveiled in the shop I was thrilled with the result – it was more than I had hoped for – there was even a glass of champagne waiting for me! I wear it every day and I love it! It could be as simple as taking yellow gold pieces and having a white metal (Rhodium) coating on them. Although this is not very enduring on rings which are subject to abrasive contact, it can be incredibly successful with other items such as some quality necklaces and earrings.

We are also able to unset stones from dated settings and reset them into either pre-manufactured or assembled settings. There is also the possibility that we may, for sentimental reason, use the metal from the original settings with other melted pieces added, to create by hand a completely new setting.

Like quite a few of us, I had several rings I no longer wore (mine were kept in a shoebox!). A friend suggested that I have them made into a single ring and she recommended Biagios. Their talented designer came up with two designs and it was hard to choose which one! Some of the rings were bought on holiday in Sri Lanka, Singapore and India. The ring that was made for me is not only beautiful but also holds a lifetime of memories. I just Love it!

Excitingly, you can start again, let your imagination soar and with the help of either one of our designers using a CAD system or a specialist hand craftsman such as Stephen (working at our in-house workshop) to craft something classic and simple or a spectacular, show stopper.

Ciro and the team at Biagio the Jewellers in Thame have been amazing. They guided me through every step of the remodel – wanting to get everything exactly right for me. I brought in two rings and took home Four Pieces of beautiful jewellery! The designs were unique and personal to me. The finished pieces were even more beautiful than the drawings. The fit was perfect, and I felt like they had always been a part of my life.

It was our 25^th Wedding Anniversary and I wanted to do something special and unique to us. I thought that I would like a Tree of Life Pendant. We had a three stone Diamond ring which I wanted the stones from, put into the pendant as they have a special meaning for us. I spoke to Tracey in Biagios who, with patience, allowed me to take the time and enjoyment (with some assistance) to create a number of sketches. Whilst developing these sketches I mentioned to Tracey that I also wanted to incorporate our Birth Stones into the design. Nothing was a problem! The end result is a Pendant that not only looks Amazing but is also, so personal and special to us both.
