Biagio Patalano opened his first store in Bicester in the late 1980’s with the dream of creating a boutique richly stocked with rare and exclusive gemstones – mesmerizing tanzanites, rubies, emeralds and coloured sapphires filled the windows then and they continue to be at the very heart of what we do today.

The 1990’s saw the opening of a second store in Thame and a growing reputation for trusted advice, excellence and craftsmanship at truly competitive prices. Customers began to come to us, not only for our unique gems but also with previously acquired pieces and heirlooms which they wanted renovating or updating.
