Date: 2009-12-18

Diamond Jeweller celebrates success of Make-A-Wish charity eveningBiagio Make A Wish

Over £60,000 was raised from the evening’s auction held on 23rd September, a wealth of items included; breathtaking diamond jewellery and the opportunity to skipper a 39ft yacht anywhere in the world for a week. Over 300 guests joined Biagio to celebrate his birthday and generously bid in the auction. A sparkling night where guests were treated to a champagne reception, six-course menu personally chosen by Biagio and a performance by Hot Chocolate.

“The funds raised on the evening went way beyond our expectations and we cannot thank Biagio and his family enough for allowing us to share in his celebrations. Make a wish has no cures to offer and all too often some of our endings are sad, the money raised from this event will help us grant the wishes of some very special children. These wishes could not come true without the help of people such as Biagio,” said Jayne Watson, Trustee of Make-A-Wish Foundation UK.

Biagio said, “I am delighted with the funds raised from the evening, Make-A-Wish is a charity I have supported for some years. As a father I have been personally touched by the work the foundation does. A wish granted is true magic for the child and provides them and their families with hope, strength and joy at a time of uncertainty”.
