Aquamarine

Aquamarine

Aquamarine (meaning water of the sea in Latin) is the blue or blue-green form of beryl. Other stones in the same family include emerald, golden beryl, pink morganite and yellow heliodor. Its colour can range from almost clear to deep blue, depending on the amount of iron traces it contains. Its colour is particularly set off by metals such as white gold, silver or platinum.
